On 10/8/12 , the Sector Portfolio 1) is taking a 50% position in GDX ( Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF ) or the Fidelity Select Gold fund ( FSAGX ), and 2) a 50% position in the QQQ ETF .
The " Slow Trades Sector Portfolio " is an investment plan designed to build an active portfolio utilizing the Fidelity Investments family of "sector" funds , and / or sector ETF's ( exchange traded funds ). In combination with these sector selections, the QQQ ( Nasdaq 100 tracking ETF ) and the Barclay's 30 year bond ETF ( TLT ) are also utilized to provide "diversity" to the portfolio. The % portfolio weightings between the sector selections and QQQ / TLT are periodically adjusted in 0%, 25% and 50% increments. These adjustments are mainly made quarterly.
